HISTORY
The Nu Chapter of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/ Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. was founded by four women on November 21st, 1997 at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus. Their commitment to each other and the goals of the Hermandad are reflected in the innovative programming and continual efforts to empower the Penn State Latina(o) and general communities through education and service.
The Hermanas at Nu Chapter pride themselves in the diversity of their programs, co-sponsorships, community services, and interactions. Though few in number, the women at Nu Chapter demonstrate great leadership qualities, and collectively conduct the chapter with efficiency and distinction. They do so with sincerity, loyalty, and unity, while striving for patience, perseverance, and pride.
