HISTORY
The Mu Chapter at the University at Albany, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Union College and The College of Saint Rose was established in the FALL of 1996 by one incredible woman. Her name is Hermana Dilia Travieso.
Since then our Marvelous Mu Chapter has been involved in numerous community service programs, such as Habitat for Humanity, Girls Inc., raising money for Aids and Cancer, Donate-a-Phone: helping those to contact for help in a domestic violence situation, tutoring and mentorship programs. The Hermanas of Mu Chapter strive to educate the community and create unity amongst all women who uphold the ideals of our sisterhood. As well, we envision ourselves as women eager to reach out to all members of our community and offer support.
As Hermanas we continue to guide each other towards a path that will uplift our people everywhere.
Thank you to those who continue to support our efforts in empowering young women and men through leadership, academic excellence, community service, sisterhood and cultural enrichment.
