HISTORY

The Alpha Kappa Chapter was established in the Spring of 2008 at Adelphi University by eight strong women. Promoting the ideals of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/ Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority Inc., the Alpha Line consists of Cindy Mejia, Tabitha Jimenez, Stephanie Moronta, Angie Marino, Alejandra Rodriguez, Kayla Chetal, Tatiana Morales and Gabriela Diaz. They strived to bring an organization of leadership, dedication, and strength to the Adelphi community. Since that fateful spring, the Alpha Kappa chapter has expanded to include their Spring 2009 Beta Line and their Spring 2010 Gamma Line.
