About Maria
Maria M. Delgado currently serves as the National President and joined Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. with our Alpha chapter in Binghamton, NY in Spring 1989. Prior to serving in this capacity, Maria has served in the Board of Trustees and as a former National Board President, as well as being a pioneer for our Alumnae, now Theta chapters, creation and engagement.

Maria earned a Bachelors degree in Sociology from Ithaca College with a focus on Juvenile Criminal Justice and Health. She has served families in the Bronx and Harlem community, for over 20 years, in her various professional roles from Case Manager, Family Enrichment Coordinator and After School Program Director. Maria has recently joined the Health and Fitness industry to help bring health awareness and positive long life changes to individuals and families.

Nikkia Johnson - Vice-President

About Nikkia
Nikkia "Comandancia" Johnson is the Interim Vice President for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Nikkia pledged at the Alpha Zeta Chapter (Virginia Commonwealth University) in the Spring of 2011 and was an establishing member of the Theta Sigma Graduate Professional chapter.

Nikkia currently works at Voices for Virginia's Children as the Office Administrator. At Voices, she manages the organizations’ development and financial activity, updates and maintains current donor database systems, and provides logistical support in conducting forums, training sessions and fundraising events. Nikkia has a long background of working with nonprofits, youth and teens. She also currently serves on the programming committee for ART 180. Nikkia graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a B.S. in Sociology.

About Cintya
Cintya "Confianza" Ramos is the Director of Finance for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Cintya pledged at the Gamma Chapter (University of Pennsylvania) in the Fall of 2004.

Cintya currently works at the City of Philadelphia, in the Office of Budget and Program Evaluation as a Deputy Budget Director. She has a extensive background in financial analysis, strategic financial planning, and policy analysis. Cintya graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School with a degree in Operations and Information Management. She also has a Master in Business Administration from Villanova University with specializations in strategic management and international business.

About Chantel
Mrs. Chantel "Morivivi" Cabrera has been an Hermana since Fall 2007 under the guidance of our Alpha Delta chapter at SUNY Stony Brook. She served as our NYC/Metropolitan area Regional Director from July 2014- June 2016 before transitioning into her current role as the Director of Administration. Her main hope in serving nationally is to inspire other members to take on the challenge of National Leadership which allows for personal and professional growth that is easily transferrable to the workplace.

Currently Mrs. Cabrera is the Program Director of the Staten Island Young Adult Borough Center at Tottenville High School. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker who aids overage and under-credited students ages 17-21 in achieving their high school diploma.

About Amanda
Amanda Nazario is the current Director of Public Relations. She has served in this capacity since being elected in June of 2014. She was initiated into the organization at the Alpha Gamma Chapter  (George Washington University) in Spring 2009. She has assumed leadership roles within the sorority consistently since that time. Amanda has been Alpha Gamma chapter president as well a member of the National Convention Planning Committee and Public Relations Committee. As Director of Public Relations she has initiated a rebranding of the organization, assumed oversight and support of the National Performance Team, launched new platforms for communication and carried out marketing for all National programming.

Amanda currently works as an Account Executive in the transportation industry. A receipent of UPS' Inspiring Women Award, she builds relationships with key stakeholders at corporate accounts to identify where the company's services and solutions can help overcome challenges and/or achieve business objectives. As one of the youngest Account Executives in her district, she exceeds sales goals by delivering profitable middle market revenue growth for UPS through the development of new business. She is a member of the company's Latino Business Resource Group and Women's Business Resource Group. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University.

Ana Luz King - Director of Technology

Ana Luz is the Director of Technology for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. She has a lifelong passion for serving the Hermandad. She was previously the Director of Graduate affairs, has served on the National Policy and Compliance Board, and recently served as Vice President of her graduate chapter. Ana Luz was a founding Hermana at the Zeta Chapter (Oswego) in the Spring of 1992. She has remained active in the sorority for almost 25 years. She has made major expansion contributions to the mid-Atlantic and the mid-west as the co-founder of the Theta Theta chapter in the Mid-Atlantic region, Co-Founding the Theta Nu Chapter in he Mid-West and currently the co-founder of the Theta Sigma Chapter in the Southern Virginia Region. She also served as the Founding Dean of the Omega Chapter in Norfolk VA and the Founding Dean of the Alpha Eta Chapter in Bloomington, Indiana.

Ana Luz currently works at Portsmouth Public Schools in Portsmouth VA. She has over 16 years of experience in education having served on the SUNY Oswego Alumni Association Board of Directors, and in various capacities at the charter and public school level in Indianapolis and Virginia. Ana Luz graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in Public Relations. She also earned a Master's of Art in Teaching from Marian University in Indianapolis Indiana.

About Rianna
Rianna Miller is the Director of Academic Excellence for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Rianna joined the Hermandad in the Spring of 2013 through the Theta Xi Chapter in Rochester, NY.

Since joining the Hermandad Rianna has served as the Vice President of the Theta Xi Chapter. Being the new Director of Academic Excellence she hopes to build more innovative ways for the Hermandad to improve on academics, along with mentoring for undergraduate hermanas.

Rianna graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Management with a Marketing concentration. She currently works as a Senior Admissions Advisor for the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Rianna is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business Management and Leadership.

About Katherine
Katherine "Emergente" Milanes became an Hermana during Spring 2014, when she crossed the Golden Gates at our Epsilon Chapter. Katherine served as President and Treasurer during her time as an undergraduate. She now holds a new role within the Hermandad as Regional Director for the Upstate Region/Region 1 of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Her hope for the region is to build everlasting bonds and foster communication among the Hermanas of the Region and expand this to the entire Hermandad.

Currently, Katherine works in a law firm as a Legal Administrative Assistant. She plans on attending law school and furthering her legal career.

About Carlene
Carlene R. Ferreira, also known as Hermana Acacia, has been the Regional Director for New England (Region III) since June 2015. She became an Hermana in the Fall of 2013 and pledged through Theta Mu Graduate/Professional Chapter in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to becoming the Regional Director for Region III, Carlene served as the Theta Mu Chapter President and assisted the Director of Programming in planning New England's Mother's Day Brunch in Boston, Spring of 2014. Although Carlene has not been an Hermana for long, she is committed to serving and supporting Hermanas in her chapter, Region, and beyond.

Carlene attended Boston University and received a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations in 2012. Immediately following her graduating from Boston University, Carlene pursued a Masters Degree in Social Work from Simmons College, graduating in Spring 2014. She is the Director of Early High School Programs at Breakthrough Greater Boston.

Delmy Hernandez is the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director of Region IV for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Region IV consists of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Georgia. She joined the organization in the Spring of 2007 at the Alpha Zeta Chapter, Virginia Commonwealth University. As an undergraduate Hermana, she served as President, Vice President, Dean of Pledges and Dean of Academics.

Currently, Ms. Hernandez serves as an Equal Opportunity Specialist at the Department of Defense. She received a Bachelor of Art in International Studies concentrating in Latin American Studies and Bachelor of Art in Foreign Language-Spanish from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Adriana Figueroa - Regional Director - Midwest

Adriana Figueroa is the Midwest Regional Director of Region V for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Region V consists of Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. She joined the organization in the spring of 2008 at Alpha Eta Chapter, Indiana University - Bloomington. As an undergraduate Hermana, she served as social chair and community service chair.

Currently, Ms. Figueroa serves as a law clerk for a federal judge at the United States District Court Southern District of Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in May 2015, and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with a concentration in legal studies from Indiana University - Bloomington in May 2009.

Chair of the Board of Trustees | Higher Education Professional | Master Networker | Life-Long Learner | I believe in lifting as I climb | Founder of Latinas in Higher Education, Inc.

Rosann Santos has been a higher education professional for almost 20 years. She began her career in residence life and has gone on to work in other areas of student affairs such as orientation, commencement, family programming, enrollment management and strategic planning. Rosann is the Founder of Latinas in Higher Education, Inc., an organization that provides affordable professional development for career-minded women. She is also a certified career and strengths coach, public speaker and master networker. She is also an adjunct professor in Latin American and Latino Studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice in NYC.

Rosann is a founding member of the Eta Chapter at Syracuse University where she held the chapter presidency for the first two years of the chapter's existence. After graduation, she moved to Albany, NY to pursue her Master's Degree at the University at Albany. While there she helped establish the Lambda Chapter at Rutgers News Brunswick as the Dean of Pledges and later helped establish Mu Chapter at UAlbany and RPI and the Sigma Chapter at Union College. She has served on the National Board, The Alumni Council and now the Board of Trustees as the Chairwoman.

About Jacqueline
Jacqueline "Continua" Blas currently serves at the Director of Membership Intake for Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc. Jacqueline pledged at the Iota Chapter (Cornell University) in Spring 2010. Prior to becoming the Director of Membership Intake, Jacqueline served as a chartering Hermana of the Theta Omicron, Graduate/Professional Chapter in Westchester County, NY, as well as the Chapter's President for 3 years.

Jacqueline graduated from Cornell University in May 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Human Development. In May 2015 Jacqueline received a second bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from SUNY Purchase. She is currently pursuing a Master in Biomedical Sciences at the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ.
